SBRI formally put its face on the colourful map of Mindanao, with the historic energisation of the company’s franchise in BUUG, Zamboanga Sibugay – the first operational branch of BWSI in the Philippine’s southern island – on 8 March 2019. Following the groundbreaking ceremony held in 14 January 2019, SBRI’s opening and implementation team was able to fast-track branch preparations, complete detailed engineering designs, assess water source options and network upgrading strategies, harmonise and roll-out the ELITE billing and collection system, and complete the integration of the LGU waterworks and its personnel. It was a herculean, implausible mission spread over two (2) months, but was aided largely by efficient, stunning synergies achieved among the different Central department officers and staff.
Leading the gargantuan transition, planning and strategy for Buug was AM Mark Araullo twinned with BD-PM Manager Gabby De Vera. Branch operations are presently led by Arnold Lanorio (BM-T) and Rener Vallozo (Interim OS).
