Balibago Waterworks, as a faithful partner of the City Government of Angeles in delivering clean, healthy, and potable water to its residents for 64 years now, recognizes its critical role in taking care of the environment.
As a manifestation of this commitment, Balibago Waterworks has inked a partnership deal with Abacan River and Angeles Watershed Advocacy Council, Inc. (ARAW-ACI) and Kapatirang Aetas ng Angeles-Porac para sa Kalikasan at Agrikultura (KAAPKA) on the rehabilitation of Angeles City Watershed today (October 11, 2022) at Oasis Hotel.
Under the “Adopt-A-Watershed” Program of ARAW-ACI, Balibago Waterworks will be planting and maintaining at least 10,000 trees on ten (10) hectares of the Angeles City Watershed within the next five (5) years with the planting of the first 1,000 seedlings happening on October 22, 2022 at Sitio Balaru, Sapangbato, Angeles City.
The following representatives are the signatories of the MOA: Mr. Renato S. Tayag Jr. (ARAW-ACI President), Ms. Cristina Isabelle P. Alejandro (BWSI President), and Mr. Arnel Sibal (Representative of KAAPKA President, Mr. Henry A. Pan).
This historic agreement was witnessed by the City Environment and Natural Resources Office Officer-in-Charge, Mr. Archimedes M. Lazatin, Angeles City Vice Mayor Hon. Vicky Vega-Cabigting, and Angeles City Mayor Hon. Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr..
